The Game of Thrones cast members are nothing if not busy. What are they up to outside of filming the show? Let’s explore.
First up, we can shortly expect the Stark sisters to sing pop music while cruising down a major thoroughfare. While at the South by Southwest festival this past weekend, they revealed that they’ll soon be doing an installment of Carpool Karaoke, the show that started as a bit on The Late Late Show with James Corden and is now an unassailable institution on par with Christmas and tax season.
They should definitely sing “The Rains of Castamere” during their segment.
Speaking of singing and dancing and such things, Emilia Clarke’s recently filmed a perfume ad for Dolce & Gabanna in Italy, and the behind-the-scenes photos make it look like a lot of fun.
Kit Harington also recently filmed a Dolce & Gabanna ad on the same set. He and Clarke even took pictures with the same fashion photographer, who’s looks like one of those guys who only has one facial expression in photos.
So are Harington and Clarke the new faces of Dolce & Gabanna? We’re curious to see the full ads.
Also, USA Today has a new trailer for Voice from the Stone, starring Clarke as Verena, a nurse who helps children deal with trauma. The movie is set in the 1950s in Tuscany, and as you can see, not everything goes smoothly for her character on the job.
Next up, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Gregor “the Mountain” Clegane) has filmed another ad for Icelandic Mountain Vodka. He play-crushes a dude’s head at the end. This guy knows how to brand.
Finally, actor Pilou Asbæk (Euron Greyjoy) gave an explanation for why Game of Thrones is airing in July this year.
We knew it had to be something like that.
