HBO just released a new promo for Game of Thrones season 7, featuring Cersei, Daenerys, and Jon Snow taking the Long Walk toward their new seats of power. Watch!

For anybody unsure, this doesn’t look like it’s actually new footage from the show itself. This is more like the teaser promo the show did before season 1, where it photographed various characters sitting on the Iron Throne.
None of the footage from that promo was actually from the show, but it sure was cool. Same thing here.
Let’s look at some of the details. We’ve got Jon Snow at Winterfell, Cersei entering the throne room in the Red Keep, and Daenerys sitting on her new throne. The throne Daenerys sits on matches a picture of one leaked from the set months ago.
Where exactly is this throne located? That’s still technically a SPOILER, albeit a small one — you can find out here.
As for the Red Keep, notice that Cersei has replaced the seven-pointed star above the Iron Throne with a Lannister lion. After you blow up the leaders of a religion, you probably don’t want their symbol hanging over you.
Finally, the trailer ends with Cersei exhaling a breath of cool air before the scene dollies out to reveal that the Night King (or another White Walker) has been watching the whole thing. That’s also what happens at the end of the previous teaser trailer. In both cases the message is clear: whatever conflicts the main characters are having, they’re all dwarfed by the coming of the White Walkers.
The song that plays over the promo is an incredibly melancholy version of “Sit Down,” a 1989 song by British rock band James.
Game of Thrones season 7 comes out July 16. What did you guys think of the promo?
