BBC America First Look: The Lie of the Land
Just as we’re beginning to speculate about next week’s episode of Doctor Who, BBC America does us a favor and helps us out! On their Twitter, they released the first four pictures of next week’s episode, The Lie of the Land, for our viewing pleasure.
First, let’s take a good look at the synopsis of The Lie of The Land to see what to expect next week.
"Written by Toby Whithouse and directed by Wayne Yip.The world is gripped by a mass delusion and only Bill Potts can see the truth. When even the Doctor is fighting on the wrong side, it’s up to Bill to convince the Time Lord that humanity is in deadly danger. And if she can’t do that, she may just have to kill her best friend…The Doctor is played by Peter Capaldi, Bill by Pearl Mackie and Nardole by Matt Lucas. Michelle Gomez guest stars as Missy."
So just like I thought, it seems like something happens and the Doctor that we see isn’t our Doctor. It seems like no one is who they say they are. It is also important to note that this is Michelle Gomez’s last episode before the two-parter.
It’s still early in the week, so we don’t know much about the episode yet, and this won’t be the last speculation post we have. Check out the first one we’ve done here.

See those statues on the desk? Those have the words TRUTH or LIE written on them, and it’s obviously a picture of a Monk. You can also see a red phone — could that be a call out to the red phone from the White House? We did see the President of the United States die in Extremis.

Spectators were right! It looks like Missy did keep a piano in the vault with her to give her some entertainment.

It seems like this week Missy has all the answers. I wonder why. Does she know the monks somehow?

Is it just me or does the Doctor look older in this picture than he normally does? Older, and tired? Either way, it looks like it might be time for a regeneration soon.
