Iain Glen (Jorah) hopes to survive Game of Thrones
By Corey Smith
As it turns out, Game of Thrones fans aren’t the only ones who are dying to learn the fates of their favorite characters. In a recent interview with Raidió Teilifís Éireann, series regular Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont) revealed that himself and the rest of the cast routinely attempt to trick showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss into revealing that kind of info.
"Dan and David the showrunners are very secretive. We try and trip them up and make them give something away but they never do…"
It must be exhausting to constantly have your guard up.
Glen is one of the few cast members to have survived all six seasons of the show, something he’s proud of. “So none of us really know, we certainly don’t know where it’s going,” he said. “But even if I’m for the chop very shortly I would feel like I did pretty good. I survived pretty long.”
"I definitely want to hang in there, yeah, but I think everyone does."
Regarding season 7, Glen echoes the comments of other cast members regarding the pace of the upcoming episodes.
"The story is going toward a conclusion. There’s no sense of treading water. You have storylines colliding. And the evolving drama and relationships are as good as they have ever been. It definitely feels like the beginning of the endgame."
We’re pulling for you, Ser Friendzone.
Game of Thrones returns July 16th.
