HBO releases new images from “Dragonstone,” the season 7 premiere

HBO has released several official photographs from “Dragonstone,” the first episode of Game of Thrones season 7. It’s our first batch of pics released specifically from one of the episodes! Here’s to many more.
And now, without further ado, the pics:

We start with Cersei standing in the huge map room we saw in the first trailer. Because she’s Cersei, she has wine.

The production worked hard on this map, so why not show it off. We’re seeing the North here, as the diligent map-smith puts on the finishing touches. Castles visible so far include Castle Black, the Shadow Tower, Winterfell, Castle Cerwyn, Barrowton, and Flint’s Finger.
These next two images, of Daenerys arriving at Dragonstone, we’ve seen before. Or at least we’ve seen very slight variations on them.

Below, Brienne and Pod spar in the Winterfell courtyard. We caught a bit of that action in one of the trailers.

In Winterfell’s Great Hall, Lyanna Mormont says something badass. We’re just assuming, here.

Finally, we get a couple of images set at Castle Black, which is the most interesting thing to come out of this batch of pics. First off, it’s Dolorous Edd! We’ve missed you!

I wonder how dour old Edd is getting along as the de facto Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. How will he treat his new guest, Meera Reed?

That is a lot of snow on Meera’s person.

Not pictured in the above photo is Bran Stark, but we can be confident that he’s just out of frame, hanging out on a sled at Meera’s feet. At any rate, it’s good to know that he makes it through the Wall unmolested.
