HBO releases brief scene from the Game of Thrones season 7 premiere

The Game of Thrones season 7 premiere airs tonight. How long we’ve wanted to speak those words. And while HBO isn’t likely to give us many more previews ahead of the actual episode, it did release a very short clip from the first episode, “Dragonstone,” on the Game of Thrones Twitter page. Take a look.

We’ve seen official images of this scene before, but this is our first glimpse of it in motion. The episode is called “Dragonstone,” and this looks like Daenerys’ arrival at the titular island castle. It’s the place where she was born, but she never got a chance to appreciate it before being smuggled across the Narrow Sea one step ahead of King Robert’s assassins. It’s only fitting that it’s also the first place she goes when she returns to the continent as an adult, and that she takes a moment to let the enormity sink in by scooping up some sand.

Or she starts building sandcastles three seconds after this. We’ll find out tonight.

Also, HBO Nordic posted a video where Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) plays reenacts a possible romantic encounter between his character and Tormund’s one true love: a  bear. Naturally, he does it with action figures.

They don’t call him Husband to Bears for nothing.

Okay, that probably killed some time. There are now only…there are still a bunch of hours left until the season 7 premiere. Well, we tried.
