SDCC: HBO releases trailer for the next two episodes of Game of Thrones
By Dan Selcke
For the first time, the San Diego Comic-Con is happening while a season of Game of Thrones season 7 is in progress. Consequently, the hype level is so high it hurts.
Later today, several cast members will file into Hall H at the San Diego Convention Center for a panel discussion about the show. Last night, they were getting the buzz going by appearing with fans who were waiting in line.
And then, in a move that raised hype levels to unprecedented heights, HBO released a new trailer for “Stormborn” and “The Queen’s Justice,” the next two episodes of the season 7, to con-goers. Watch it below.
Some of this is footage we’ve already seen in previous trailer, but a lot of is new, including:
- Randyll Tarly meeting with Cersei in the Iron Throne Room.
- Quick snaps of Euron riding through the streets of King’s Landing and bowing to someone (Cersei, in all probability) in the throne room.
- Perhaps most importantly, Melisandre meeting Daenerys and her crew!
In its official description for “Stormborn,” HBO wrote that “Deanerys (Emilia Clarke) receives an unexpected visitor.” We’re pretty sure we know who that is, now.

“Stormborn” will air this Sunday at 8:00 p.m. CST, with “The Queen’s Justice” following the Sunday after. We would tell you to get hype, but I’m pretty sure you’re already there.
