Welcome to another episode of Take the Black, Winter is Coming’s Game of Thrones podcast. This week, our merry band of miscreants discusses the highs and lows of “Stormborn,” the second episode of Game of Thrones season 7. A lot happened in this one, from grumpy Dany laying down the law to the return of Hot Pie to Sam’s continuing disgusting adventures. We cover it all.

This week’s topic include:

  • Dany’s probably grumpy because she brought her swimsuit to play on the beach, and it’s been raining every day since she landed on Dragonstone.
  • Isis likes the fact that Varys stood up to the Dragon Queen.
  • Missandei took over the role of resident grammar nazi from Stannis.
  • Dany said Jon Snow’s name out loud and we’re all freaking out.
  • Davos just now figured out that dragon flame kills wights. Join us in rolling our eyes.
  • Randyll Tarly is still a dick, and it looks like he’ll soon be a dick in charge of the Lannister army.
  • Cersei has a new toy and ruined a perfectly good dragon skull to test it.
  • Sam is the smartest man at the Citadel.
  • Sansa is still disgruntled about Jon’s decision-making, but she sure was happy to be put in charge.
  • Littlefinger’s scene with Jon in the crypts gave us Ned Stark déjà vu.
  • When Olenna tells you to be the dragon, you might as well just go ahead and be a dragon.
  • The Sand Scrubs went out as they lived: ridiculously. “Mamma, mamma, mamma.”
  • Euron is an over-the-top bad guy and just what this show needs.
  • We discuss Theon’s PTSD.
