By Dan Selcke
Tonight’s new episode of Game of Thrones, “The Spoils of War,” looks like it’ll be one for the books. Here’s what you can expect and where you can watch it.
There is no synopsis for “The Spoils of War” — that’s how explosive it’s gonna be, man. There is a trailer, though, which is worth a hundred thousand words.
It’s no secret that “The Spoils of War” is going to be heavy on the action. The most notable part of the trailer involves Daenerys saying she’s fed up with “clever plans,” mounting Drogon, and going off to kick everyone’s ass. We think we can piece together a little story using some of the official images HBO has released. Here’s Jaime and Bronn looking at something intimidating…

…and here’s the intimidating thing:
Good luck with that, guys.
We’ll hit a smattering of other locations, too. For example, here’s Team Dany looking dejected on Dragonstone:

We’re betting that shot takes place after Dany gets the news about the Unsullied walking into a trap at Casterly Rock but before she starts all the ass-kicking. Or they could just be upset that Theon is dragging his sad sack self back to the island:

We’ll also hit Winterfell…

…and King’s Landing, where Cersei is walking Iron Banker Tycho Nestoris around her map room.

You may have noticed that Arya is absent from the images, and Sam is absent from both the pics and the trailer. It’s looking like Sam may sit this episode out entirely — he’s been busy lately, after all — but Arya shows up in the trailer for a split-second, her horse perched on a hill near Winterfell. And then, this promo from Sky Atlantic gave us a closer look at what she gets up to. If you’re wary of SPOILERS, don’t watch, but otherwise…
Yep. Not only will Arya get back to Winterfell, but she’ll spar with Brienne while Sansa watches…and it looks like she’ll do very well.
Here we go.
