Tourism Ireland adds scenes from “The Queen’s Justice” to its Game of Thrones Tapestry
By Dan Selcke
If you’re unaware, Tourism Ireland is spreading the word about Game of Thrones season 7 is the most awesome way possible: by constructing an enormous, beautiful, Bayeux-style tapestry featuring scenes from the entirely of Game of Thrones. Have a sampling:
There are currently over 160 scenes weaved into the tapestry, and Tourism Ireland is weaving in more every week. This week, it’s put in a collection scenes from “The Queen’s Justice,” including the meeting between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, the reunion between Bran and Sansa Stark, the Unsullied assault on Casterly Rock, and Lady Olenna Tyrell’s final moments with Jaime. Take a look at a video of the new panels being created:
And on top of that, Tourism Ireland released an animated version of a key scene from season 3: the moment where Berid Dondarrion and the Hound settled accusations against the Hound with single combat, complete with flaming swords.
And of course, there’s Arya looking on to the right.
How things change — now, Beric and the Hound are traveling together. Given what we’re seen in the trailers, I’d expect that flaming sword to come back into play before long.
We’ll be bringing you further looks at Tourism Ireland’s Game of Thrones Tapestry as the season goes on. I imagine they’ll be able to make something very impressive out of “The Spoils of War,” which airs tonight!
