It must be Wednesday, because HBO has released a new batch of glossy, official photos from the next episode of Game of Thrones: “Eastwatch.”
“Eastwatch” is the second of two episodes this season directed by Matt Shakman. Let’s see how he follows up the epic battle at the end of “The Spoils of War.” Check out the new pics below:

For starters, it looks like he’ll follow up the battle by…following up the battle. Above, Tyrion and Daenerys sort through the aftermath of the Loot Train Attack, with Tyrion looking thoroughly miserable and Daenerys trying to draft the surviving Lannister soldiers into her army, as we saw in the trailer for the episode.
But eventually, the action will move back to Dragonstone, where Tyrion will discuss his concerns with his buddy Varys.

Meet Casual Varys. Casual Varys sits on steps.
We’ll also pick up with Jon Snow. Has he mined enough dragonglass to head back north yet?

"Daenerys: “So Jon, I have an idea for a fun thing you should do.”Jon: “Is it bending the knee?”Daenerys: “……Lucky guess.”"
It also looks like, after he sat this past week out, Sam will return.

He and Gilly are poring over old tomes. And we’re sure Little Sam is around there somewhere.
And finally, we have one haunting shot of Cersei sitting on the edge of her bed in King’s Landing, contemplating whatever it is crazy people contemplate in the morning.

Notably, there are no shots of Jaime in this batch. You didn’t think HBO was gonna tip their hand about his survival, did you? There are also no shots of anything happening at Winterfell, although the trailer showed Bran, at least.
Next: We go shot by shot through the trailer for 'Eastwatch'
UPDATE: More pics from “Eastwatch” have turned up online, all of them set at Dragonstone. First, more of the Dragon Queen, looking regal in a chair and regal on the bluffs.
Below, Tyrion speaks to his queen, probably about the massacre she just pulled on the Lannister forces. We saw him looking a little worried about the path she’s on in the episode trailer.
Finally, we get our first shot of Davos in “Eastwatch,” as he and Jon Snow are gathered around the Painted Table. They’re seeming more Team Targaryen by the minute.
What do you guys make of the new pics? We’ll find out more together when “Eastwatch” airs on HBO this Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. CST.
