Big Finish
From now until the end of eternity, I’m starting a new series on the site called What are we watching this weekend? Basically, it’s going to be in place of a Doctor Who episode every week. We’ll be putting up recaps of either our planned rewatched (series 9 and 10) or an underrated episode of Doctor Who. It all depends on how I’m feeling.
With the recent lack of Doctor Who news and obviously things to write about, we have to get a little creative as well. You might find us venturing off to write about shows that Doctor Who cast members have been in. If you have a favorite show you want us to check out, tweet us!
So…what are we watching this week?
TV:
There are a couple of great things we’re gonna watch this weekend, the first one is Trust Me, Jodie Whittaker’s new show where she plays a nurse pretending to be a doctor. I’m sure some of you will find humor in that somewhere.
Tomorrow, we’ll post a recap of her first episode.
Doctor Who
Of course, we’re going to be watching a Doctor Who episode this weekend, and posting a recap! We’re going to start with The Magician’s Apprentice/The Witch’s Familiar, part of our rewatch of season nine and ten. This rewatch should bring us right up to the Christmas episode and everything will be fresh in our minds.
Audio:
This weekend we’re also going to be listening to the new Torchwood season five audios. James has already posted his review of the first episode, but in case you can’t afford the audios, I’ll also be posting a recap of the episode.
I’ll also begin reviews of Tenth Doctor’s audio sets, the first one being Technophobia. Currently, it’s my favorite audio to date. The Tenth Doctor, Donna Noble, their witty banter, what could be better?!
And, keep a look out for James’ audios of the Classic Doctors as well! We want to make the weekend and the week full of Doctor Who content for you.
