Game of Thrones Screencap Breakdown: “Beyond the Wall”
By Corey Smith
All they’re doing is walking, but we can’t get enough of these shots.
The Hound has to stop and tie his shoe. Wouldn’t want to get caught by a White Walker with an untied shoe lace.
Which gives Tormund a moment to bend the Hound’s ear.
This look right here is the look of pure love. It should be — Tormund is talking about Brienne.
An interstitial walking shot, worthwhile because look at it.
The weather doesn’t seem to dampen Beric’s spirits. We love his mottled, sort-of camouflage winter gear.
Look at those handy back packs. Must be where they carry all their food.
Beric is the guy at the party telling everyone not to drive drunk. We agree with you and everything, but damn you’re a downer. We were talking about making babies.
The Hound sees the mountain — not his brother, the arrowhead-shaped one from his fire vision.
Despite being the only mountain in the distance, Clegane still points to it. We’ve seen that mountain before.
On Dragonstone, Dany is surveying the Painted Table. The figurines have returned. On the right we see the Stark direwolf, and the falcon of House Arryn.
Above is Dany’s reaction when Tyrion implies Jon Snow is in love with her.
Great shots of the map room. It’s quite foggy outside, typical for an island.
Another wide shot. Dany looking out to sea as Tyron is about to drop the hammer about her inability to have children.
To the left of Tyrion we see the extra figurines for the map. Unfortunately, Dany has been forced to return more than a few of them.
Dany is livid with Tyrion for raising the question of her successor. Not an invalid question, but Tyrion hardly handled it well.
