Tormund and the Hound form a jam band, and other funnies from “Beyond the Wall”
By Dan Selcke
“Beyond the Wall” was an episode of Game of Thrones. People made fun of it. These are their stories.
Actually, before we get to that, we have to post this video of Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner’s appearance on Carpool Karaoke, wherein they mock Sean Bean’s accent (amazingly), rock out to the likes of Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, and yell at imaginary passersby.
How in the world did that snapping game work?
The full, non-split screen version is available on Apple Music. Here’s just the Sean Bean bit below:
See, why can’t they be more like this on the show? They even have a secret hand shake!
In other music news, here’s Rory McCann (the Hound) and Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) demonstrating their musical abilities on the set of “Beyond the Wall.”
This group formed a group called the Brotherhood Without Banjos between takes. More on the gag reel, please.
In recap videos, the ever-reliable Ozzy Man is back with a recap and review of “Beyond the Wall”:
And Jonathan Van Ness of Gay of Thrones is on fire with his special guest, GLOW star Kimmy Gatewood.
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pelts is the best description of Jon’s group yet. Nancy Scarigan is a great name for the wight the Hound hit with the stone. Was Tormund always called Surly Spice?
Chrys of Chrys Reviews once again has a hilarious screencap-based recap of the episode:

Back to celebrities thing, Kit Harington participated in Sesame Street’s #ShareTheLaughter challenge, sharing a joke and challenging others to spread it around.
One more cast member thing: Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) revealed to CinemaBlend that he was none too pleased after watching “Stormborn,” and seeing two of his daughters die:
"I texted David Benioff and D.B. Weiss when two of my daughter was killed. And I was like ‘Hey, fuckers. What the hell are you doing killing my line? My lineage?’ And of course they were like ‘Not all of them! Watch next week!’"
We’re sure he was just giddy the week after.

In memes, Reddit has put together a handy flow chart for how to figure out if you’re whinging. It comes recommended from the Hound:

Also, here’s what Daenerys should have done when picking up Jon Snow. Gotta seize the opportunities when the arise.

At the end of the episode, the Night King raised the felled Viserion from the dead, turning him into a weapon of mass destruction. Now he has to deal with this:
Are you tired of waiting for The Winds of Winter to be released? Someone has programmed a neural network to finish the book! Check out some of the results below.

Sounds ready to hit store shelves.
In food, in order to celebrate the Game of Thrones season 7 finale, Arby’s is going to sell one-pound seasoned and smoked full turkey legs this Sunday. The catch is that it’s only happening in nine locations across the US: Fargo, ND; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA; Norfolk, VA, Pittsburg, PA; Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO; Omaha, NE; and Atlanta, GA.
We’re facing another long stretch without any new Game of Thrones. We might as well eat our sadness.
Finally, Michael Bolton joined forces with Honest Trailers to honor this year’s Emmy nominees. Game of Thrones isn’t eligible this year, but I don’t think anyone will complain that it sneaks in there, anyway.
“House Bolton does what it wants.” True.
