David Tennant is ginger for Good Omens, and we love it!

David Tennant has taken the leap and dyed his hair red for Good Omens, his most recent project.

I don’t try to fangirl too much on this site. I try to keep it professional. But David Tennant going ginger is almost too much for my little fangirl heart to see David Tennant with red hair. Growing up with natural redheads in the family, I’ve been trained to see a fake red from a mile away. Lets see how good David’s hair actually is.

(scroll down if you want to skip the fangirling and read about David’s newest project)

But to be honest, even as Red Hair Guru, I have to say that whoever did David’s hair did a fantastic job! It’s not orange (the first mistake of many), and it looks realistic. Of course, the picture below is a lot better looking than the picture that has come out for Good Omens.

Here we have David Tennant in a more Victorian ginger look. I don’t know how many people could work ginger mutton chops but by God, David Tennant can. Also, loving the serpent cane! It’s obviously a demon must have of the season, coined by Neil Gaiman himself.

BBC 2/Amazon

And here we have a 70s look? I did not see this coming, nor did I expect to like it so much, to be honest. All of these different hairstyles! How will I ever keep up??

Oh! Do you want to know WHY he changed his hair?

I suppose I should stop looking at pictures long enough to explain why David Tennant has made this (somewhat) radical change to his hair. In case you haven’t heard, Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens is making it’s way to television with an Amazon/BBC 2 coproduction.

David Tennant will play the demon, Crowley, and Michael Sheen will play the angel Aziraphale.

"Gaiman, the series’ writer and “showrunner”, said Sheen and Tennant made “one hell of a double act (or do I mean one made in Heaven?)”He said: “People have fallen in love with an angel and a demon in a book by Terry Pratchett and me, and they have been excited and nervous to see how they would appear on screen.”He explained that Sheen, of The Queen and Masters of Sex fame, would make “the best and finest of bookseller angels”, while Broadchurch and Doctor Who star Tennant was “the coolest and most delightful of demons”."

This is definitely something to look out for, if for no other reason than I’ll most likely be posting more pictures of David Tennant in red hair as they come out.
