Game of Thrones season 7 now available for Digital Download

We’re exactly a month out from the final episode of Game of Thrones season 7. To salve the wound that is a full month without more Thrones, HBO has made the official digital release available through retailers like iTunes, Vudu, Fandango Now, Microsoft and Google Play.

Fans who spring for the digital version will get all seven episodes of the latest season, plus some nifty extras. We downloaded ours through FandangoNOW, where it came with a collection of special features, including short documentaries on the costumes, music, and special effects. Fans who buy the Digital Download can also enjoy a feature called Creating the North and Beyond, which delves into the behind-the-scenes efforts to create the battle sequence in “Beyond the Wall,” where Jon Snow and his Northern Expedition Team hunt a wight.

Beyond that, fans can look forward to the DVD/Blu-ray release on December 12, just in time for the holiday shopping season. That release will include audio commentaries, in-episode guides, and yet more special features.
