Doctor Who Interesting Storyline: Clara’s restaurant TARDIS

One of the most shocking parts of Doctor Who was Clara’s storyline was the TARDIS she ended up with.

If you watch the episodes from season six, something very interesting happens. When River, Rory, and Amy all come to the restaurant and are trying to figure out who killed the Doctor, Eleven emerges from behind a door.

Now many of us probably thought it was a bathroom. Even Time Lords have to use the bathroom from time to time, I’m sure! What if there was a different place he was coming out of? Not a bathroom, but a console room?

Obviously there are a lot of holes in my idea, and it’s not fully formed. But is it something that could be unfinished that needs finishing in the Christmas special?

While this is obviously a far stretched idea, there are some ways it could work.

It’s Clara’s job to save the Doctor

That’s what the Impossible Girl does. She’s supposed to be there when the Doctor’s in danger. And the older Doctor was in danger. Maybe Clara didn’t even know about the Tesselecta and had to be on standby in case something happened (which it did). Is it possible that Amy, Rory, and River had inadvertently stepped into a TARDIS without even knowing it?

They wouldn’t know that it was because the way that Clara and Lady Me’s TARDIS has the console hidden (which is actually very smart!). The only person that could possibly know it was a TARDIS was the Doctor, who came out where the console room was.

Why doesn’t the Doctor remember?

The Doctor just had his memory wiped, and even though it was supposedly only to do with Clara, can we really be certain? But now I’m trying to apply logic, and we know you can’t apply logic to Doctor Who.

Why didn’t the Doctor make a big deal out of it when he found it?

Well, Eleven didn’t have the biggest attention span.

I know this is a far off theory, and I don’t have it all figured out. I, unfortunately, don’t write for Doctor Who.  But it is something that should be thought out about more. Is it possible it will even come up in the Christmas Special?
