Halloween is Coming: Prepare with new goodies from the HBO Shop
By Corey Smith
The Starks are always going on and on about winter coming, but what about Halloween? Does no one dress up for Halloween in Westeros? Or does everyone dress up as No One?
We might not ever definitely will never get an answer to that question, but thanks to some new items on the HBO Shop’s Halloween section, you can transform into some of your favorite Game of Thrones characters come October 31. Wanna transform into the Night King? Check. A Son of the Harpy? They’ve got you covered. But for our money, nothing beats the bloodied visage of Wun Wun the giant, one of the new items.
Thankfully, this is Wun Wun as he was before Ramsay shot him through the face with an arrow.
The other new masks include the helmets worn by the Clegane brothers: Sandor…
…and Gregor.
Staging your own version of Cleganebowl is encouraged.
There are clothes to go around, too, including gamebsons (padded overcoats) and shirts modeled after the ones worn by Jon Snow and his “father” Ned Stark. No Ned Stark mask, though, thank god.
Of course, no Game of Thrones outfit would be complete without weapons. The ones on the HBO Shop may be made of foam, but they still look the part. Oathkeeper, Needle and Jaime Lannister’s unnamed sword (from before he started using Widow’s Wail, one assumes) are available to kick your outfit up a notch.
And finally, Littlefinger’s Mockingbird pin can set your outfit off. Paired with a cloak and some dark trousers, and you can scheme your way all through Halloween night.
Other Halloween options are available — lord knows the cosplay community has some ideas — but the HBO Shop is a good place to start, especially now that they’ve roped off a Halloween section that is, naturally, headlined by Game of Thrones items. Get creative, and Happy Halloween!
