Win a luxury vacation touring Game of Thrones locations and meeting James Cosmo (Jeor Mormont)
By Dan Selcke
Do you want to stay in luxury accommodations, meet one of the stars of Game of Thrones in a fancy restaurant, and tour several of the show’s filming locations? If you’re on this site, the odds that you do are good, and My Dream Experience is now offering you the chance.
My Dream Experience puts together specialized vacation packages — you might call them dream experiences — targeted at specific audiences. To win one, you just buy a ticket. The more you buy, the greater your chances of winning.
This dream experience is targeted at Game of Thrones fans, and will take two lucky people to Iceland and back to show them life beyond the Wall…from the safety of their luxury hotel, of course. Should you win, here’s what you’ll get:
- Flights to and from Iceland for you and a guest. You have to leave from a mainland (Category A) airport.
- A three-night stay at the Silica Hotel in Reykjavík, complete with complimentary breakfast. It looks like one of the hotels where you’re living in the near future. Also there’s a cool hot springs-looking pool. You’ll also be granted premium access to “the world-famous Blue Lagoon spa.”
- Spend a day touring Game of Thrones filming locations with star James Cosmo (Jeor Mormont), with lunch provided. Generally speaking, the production has used Iceland to film scenes beyond the Wall, as when Jon Snow and company went on their wight hunt in season 7.
- Later, you get a Champagne evening meal with Cosmo. “Tell me my watch is ended,” you’ll say. “Fine,” he’ll reply, “but just once more. This has to be the 25th time you’ve asked.”
Cosmo himself pitches you on the idea below:
