Going Medieval: 25 films to watch while waiting for Game of Thrones season 8

Game of Thrones season 8 may not air until 2019. What should fans do during the long wait? How will they sate their yearnings for medieval and fantasy drama, for bloody battlefields and epic romances?

One solution: watch movies, specifically those that bear some similarity to Game of Thrones, or at least that are least vaguely set in medieval times (500-1500 A.D.). There are a lot of those to choose from, and we’re here to help narrow it down.
