Game of Thrones season 8 won’t air for over a year, but that hasn’t deterred the fans. Several have created posters for the show’s final season, due out in 2019. Behold their handiwork:
This one’s straight and to the point. Is there any way it was based of these posters for The Day After Tomorrow? In any case, it works.
We’re all expecting something like this to happen next year, aren’t we? In one corner, we have mother’s favorite child, Drogon. In the other, his zombie brother Viserion, the Night King on his back. Rhaegal rushing to Dany and Drogon’s aid is a nice touch.
Cersei says she’s pregnant, and following her tryst with Jon Snow, it’s a possibility for Daenerys, as well. Come season 8, the queen’s could be going to war for two.
"[EVERYTHING] Found this fan made poster, looks pretty amazing from gameofthrones"
These are probably the three most important characters on the show, but they have another connection: Jon, Dany, and Tyrion all grew up motherless, since their mothers died giving birth to them. Coincidence? Or alluding to something more?
And in easily the most hilarious entry here, a fan reimagines the iconic poster for Army of Darkness using Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth. We aren’t sure Cersei would approve, but Jaime’s one-handed situation makes him a perfect stand-in for the chain saw arm-wielding Ash. And Dany’s dragons are present here, too, naturally.
With the long wait until season 8 airs in 2019, these are just the first batch of what’s likely to be an extensive collection. Have you seen any floating around?
