It’s a big day for Whovians. A day that only comes once every couple of years. Today, we say goodbye to Peter Capaldi and look to a new era of Doctor Who with Jodie Whittaker. After today, we’ll have a little bit of an idea of what’s instore for us regarding the Thirteenth Doctor.

But before we get to that…

We inevitably have to say goodbye to the Twelfth Doctor. With an hour-long episode, featuring Peter Capaldi in his final episode as Twelve, David Bradley as the First Doctor, and Mark Gatiss as “The Captain”, we’ll see these three actors in one of the most anticipated episodes of Doctor Who.

For those who don’t know the synopsis of the episode:

"The magical final chapter of the Twelfth Doctor’s (Peter Capaldi) journey sees the Time Lord team up with his former self, the first ever Doctor (David Bradley – Harry Potter, Game of Thrones) and a returning Bill Potts (Pearl Mackie), for one last adventure. Two Doctors stranded in an Arctic snowscape, refusing to face regeneration. Enchanted glass people, stealing their victims from frozen time. And a World War One captain destined to die on the battlefield, but taken from the trenches to play his part in the Doctor’s story. An uplifting new tale about the power of hope in humanity’s darkest hours, Twice Upon A Time marks the end of an era. But as the Doctor must face his past to decide his future, his journey is only just beginning…"

There have also been multiple teasers:

Teaser #1: From Children in Need

Teaser #2: Released earlier this month.

Finally, here is a clip from the episode (again, without too many spoilers).

You can also take a look at our post of the pictures from the episode, to get a little bit more of a clue, without too many spoilers.

Should you enjoy spoilers, Doctor Who TV has three posts of three sets of 10 “teasers” that will make your head explode.
