Kit Harington kicked out of New York City bar, and other cast member shenannigans
By Corey Smith
Kit Harington, aka Jon Snow, the King in the North, the former Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, has gotten himself involved in a little scandal. According to TMZ, the Game of Thrones star made a recent appearance at Barfly in New York City, where he had a few and tried to play a game of pool. Then things took a turn. Roll the tape:
Per TMZ, Harington “started banging on the table, grabbing at pool cues, and getting in peoples’ faces.” He was asked to leave and did, and then he came back, whereupon he was physically removed from the premises.
Ned Stark would not approve, but it’s not the worst mistake Jon’s ever made. And at least the internet is having fun with it:
Elsewhere, members of House Lannister and House Stark are proving that they can indeed be friends…or at least, the actors can. Apparently, Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran) is trying to get an apartment with Dean-Charles Chapman (Tommen), which is great. A shame about the frustrating rental market.
Finally, the Kingslayer has a new gig. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau announced via his Instagram that he has become a spokesman for L’Oréal Men Expert, an arm of the venerated cosmetics company L’Oréal. David Beckham just launched a new line of grooming products with the company, so Coster-Waldau is in good company, handsomeness-wise.
Coster-Waldau alludes to the Movember foundation, a charity dedicated to tackling men’s health issues around the world, from prostate and testicular cancer to mental health and more. He’s also hoping to use the exposure to raise awareness of other issues he cares about, like climate change and gender equality, per the Mirror. In the meantime, he’s looking very spokesman-like in campaign shots like these:
Two more quick things. Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) may not have attended the Golden Globes this past weekend, but she didn’t waste the time away, as she explains below:
And Chicago Cub Kris Bryant’s wife got him a Game of Thrones cake for its birthday:
It spins real nice. Can we eat it now?
