Actors behind Lysa Arryn, Myrcella Baratheon, and Ros are coming to Con of Thrones
By Dan Selcke
The second annual Con of Thrones is coming to the Hyatt Regency Dallas in Dallas, Texas on May 25. A celebration of all things Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire, tickets for the event are on sale now through the Con of Thrones website, and if it’s anything like the 2017 gathering, it will be a delight.
Mischief Management has announced a trio of new celebrity guests for the convention. First up is Kate Dickie, who Game of Thrones fans will know as the memorably unstable Lysa Arryn. Aimee Richardson, who played Myrcella Baratheon in seasons 1 and 2, will also be there.
Both Dickie and Richardson appeared at the first Con of Thrones. This year will see a newcomer: Esmé Bianco, who played the upwardly mobile prostitute Ros for the first three seasons of the show before Joffrey killed her, with some help from Littlefinger.
Naturally, we’re most interested in these three actors insofar as they can tell us about their experiences on Game of Thrones, but they’ve all careers beyond that. Dickie in particular has a long history in film and television, and even had a cameo as a First Order officer in Star Wars: The Last Jedi! Meanwhile, genre fans may recognize Bianco from her recurring role in SyFy’s The Magicians.
Again, this year’s Con of Thrones will start on May 25 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas in Dallas, Texas. It’ll last through May 27, a glorious three-day weekend full of panels, interviews, discussions, workshops and more. Head here for ticket information.
