Leslie Jones wrote angry letters to the Game of Thrones showrunners, and other funnies

It’s well-known that Saturday Night Live’s Leslie Jones is a huge fan of Game of Thrones. She’s even watched a episodes live along with Seth Meyers and, at one point, Varys. And I don’t mean Conleth Hill, who plays Varys; I mean Varys:

We now know that Game of Thrones season 8 won’t air until 2019. Like many fans, Jones has taken the news hard. Unlike many fans, she’s apparently expressed her anger by writing angry letters to the showrunners, as she revealed in a recent visit to Meyers’ show:

I hope it was cathartic for her. Also, you can tell that Jones is a genuine fan because she subscribes to fin foil fan theories, like the one about Bran warging into one of Daenerys’ dragons.

Let’s canvas some of the other Game of Thrones-related funnies out there. Have you been following YouTuber steve as he watches every episode of the show completely out of order? It’s been very entertaining so far, and his latest episodes are no exception. This time, he tackles “A Golden Crown,” the one where Viserys dies…

…and “The Rains of Castamere,” the one with the Red Wedding:

It’s always sobering to see someone watch the Red Wedding for the first time. I mean, this is a comedy series, but what jokes do you make after watching that?

In more jovial goings-on, Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) appeared on a Norwegian-Swedish talk show and took a deep dive into the scene where Tormund lasciviously eats dinner in front of Brienne of Tarth back in “Book of the Stranger.” You remember the one.

Hivju even posted a video of him rushing to the set of the talk show, getting dressed on the way:

Here’s a great bit that I missed when it first came out: Last year, there was a movie called Logan Lucky, about two brothers who try to pull off a heist. At one point, the movie features a prison riot, and there’s a hilarious negotiation between the prisoners and the warden about the Song of Ice and Fire series. Enjoy:

I’m shocked I missed this. This is funny stuff.

And those are the funny things on the internet for now. All of them. ‘Til next time.
