Could Billie Piper be announcing Doctor Who news?

Recently, things have had an air of mystery on Billie Piper’s social media life. First, she subtly dropped an official Snapchat through her Twitter. At first, it was no big deal, celebs always join Snapchat eventually, and I’m sure we were all excited to see Billie’s face on our phones for a certain number of seconds.
However, today, she posted something that gave every Doctor Who fan a moment to pause…and freak out.

Many fans began to hop onto the conspiracy…

While many fans are excited at the idea of the favorite companion returning to the show, many people are more skeptical. One person said:
"Dimmeh Looming: Can we just take a moment to appreciate just how much of a f****** DUMB idea that’d be?Not even speaking as someone who dislikes the character. BUT FOR **** SAKE LET THIS BE A FRESH START! STOP CALLING BACK TO THE PAST BECAUSE NEWSFLASH; THAT’S BEEN KINDA ALIENATING CASUAL AUDIENCES FOR THE PAST 7 YEARS"
Okay fans, let’s all take a deep breath and look at this as casually as we can.
Billie Piper posts a Snapchat that says “Billie Piper has news!! What could it be???” with a Rose emoji. It’s not exactly completely hiding the intention. But remember that there’s a lot in the Doctor Who fandom that Piper could be coming back to.

For instance, Piper and David Tennant recently completed the second Tenth Doctor Adventures, where Piper came back as Rose Tyler. Big Finish has also been announcing big news regarding new storylines, including Torchwood. It’s not so out of the realm to think that Rose could be getting a Big Finish set.
As for television, there was a mention that the reason for bringing back Rose could only be to bring a love story to the Thirteenth Doctor. Personally, I hope this isn’t true. We don’t need reminding that the Doctor was a man. And we don’t need a character who is set with TenToo to do so.
If Chibnall decides to take a huge huge leap and bring back Rose for even an episode, it probably won’t go down like he hopes. We’re a weird fandom, we don’t get excited by things like characters coming back…especially when we can tell it’s just to get us excited.
