We all know the story of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and the fact that Netflix is planning to reboot the show in the coming year. Did you know there’s going to be a familiar face?

No, she won’t be holding an umbrella, being evil, or having a love triangle with herself and her ex-best friend, but Michelle Gomez is officially cast on the reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Gomez is set to play one of Sabrina’s favorite teachers and mentors. At some point, according to Variety, she becomes possessed by the Devil’s handmaiden, Madame Satan.

She turns into a “sultry, cunning manipulator trying to lead Sabrina down the path of Night”. …Never mind, that sounds exactly like Missy! And we’re totally here for it. Like, literally. If we can’t have Missy, give us Ms. Wardell who is possessed by Madame Satan. I’m not sure whether you’d call her by her teacher name or her devil name, but that’s a conversation for later.

The show will also star Chance Perdomo, Kiernan Shipka, and Jaz Sinclair. This is yet another show based off of the Archie Comics. But while this show didn’t make the cut for CW, Netflix picked up what will give many Whovians something to binge when missing Missy. It currently already has a 20 episode/two-season order, but don’t expect the ponytails and rich girl vibes you see at Riverdale.

This show officially goes down the drain of chilling and crazy. The first episode is based on the comic “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”, and deals with horror, occult, and witchcraft. The series is already being described as not-so-far-off from The Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby. So, a pretty big jump from Britain’s family long time family classic, wouldn’t you say? Sabrina has to continue to wrestle between the good and the bad within her.

Basically, this sounds like the best thing that’s ever happened for anyone who was a fan of Missy.  It’d be like if we took the cuffs off. Here for it, completely.

What do you think about Michelle Gomez’s new role? Are you ready to see her fully embrace her new self?
