An important but undersung figure will be returning for the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones. Rebecca Van Cleave, an actress best known for standing in for Lena Headey during Cersei Lannister’s infamous walk of shame sequence from the season 5 finale, is coming back to Westeros. This news comes courtesy of the Twitter account for Industry Casting.
And if that wasn’t enough evidence, Van Cleave herself fired off a few tweets from Belfast, the Game of Thrones filming center, giving away that she was there for at least three days, from Tuesday to Thursday of last week:
I’ve just been introduced to the Belfast breakfast of porridge and Bushmills, finally answering the age old question of “is it too early for whiskey?”

My life will never be the same again.
6 years ago today I decided to jump on a plane across the Atlantic and start all over again.

Is there a number I can call to get a warm bed for a lovely homeless lady I met in town?
It is far too cold for her to be outside and I’m worried she’s not going to last through this storm.
What can we take from this? First: Rebecca Van Cleave is a lovely person who tries to help the homeless. And second: if she’s returning to film a “repeat role,” Cersei will probably have a nude scene in season 8.
But what kind of nude scene? The High Sparrow is good and exploded, so it probably isn’t for another walk of atonement. We did, however, see Cersei make certain promises to Euron Greyjoy in season 7. With Jaime having left King’s Landing, Euron may try to collect on them.

Another option: so far as we know, Cersei remains pregnant with Jaime’s child. Could we be in for a birthing scene? Van Cleave did say that her second day in Belfast was “pure magic.” The magic of childbirth…?
Or it could always be something we haven’t thought of. What say you, Game of Thrones fans?
