Season 8 filming: Behind the scenes with [SPOILER] and [SPOILER]

A sensitive pic from behind the scenes of Game of Thrones season 8 has emerged. If you’re comfortable risking exposure to SPOILERS, scroll on.

Let’s start with the pic. It first appeared in a video produced by YouTuber Talking Thrones, who claims to have gotten it from someone on the Instagram page Game of Thrones Updates, who reportedly got it from “someone who works for HBO.” I lay out this evidence chain so you can approach the pic with the appropriate amount of skepticism.

Although it’s blurry, this looks like Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke, in costume as Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, standing near each other in a tent. Notice the marks on the ground, laid down to indicate where they should stand during different beats. Clarke appears to be wearing a jacket on backwards (possibly so as not to mess up her precisely-arranged-by-a-team-of-stylists hair), indicating that this is a rehearsal and that the cameras aren’t rolling. Either that, or season 8 will take place in the distant future of Westeros where winter coats are available at any respectable mall. Also, it’s cold wherever they are.

And that’s about all I’m willing to conclude based on this pic, assuming it really is from behind the scenes of season 8 and not a leftover pic from one of those beach scenes in season 7. What do you all make of it?
