Wrestlemania gets a Game of Thrones makeover, and other funnies

The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones may be over a year away, but you wouldn’t know it based on the number of parodies and references floating around there. For example, just this past weekend at Westlemania 34, wrestler Seth Rollins entered the ring doing his best White Walker impression, complete with blue contacts:

“Through the flames of Viserion, winter is here. The kingslayer, Seth Rollins, is ready for Wrestlemania!” The announcer is mixing his references a bit much for my tastes, but I appreciate the enthusiasm. Anyway, Rollins — who defeated some guy named Balor, coincidentally — definitely gets points for his costume, as well as the blue lights and White Walker eyes staring out ominously from behind him.

Moving on, did you know that Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) has a secret life as a food critic? Well, that may be overstating it; she has an Instagram account separate and apart from her main one dedicated entirely to commenting on different sausages. It may be the best thing in history:

Who knew the Lady of Winterfell was such a foodie?

So far Turner’s sausage critique account — @sophiedssausagereviews — has 23.5k followers, compared to the 7.5 million followers for Turner’s main account. We can’t wait until she reviews a sausage provided by the craft services people on the set of season 8 and inadvertently spoils something.

Finally, Funny or Die has created a musical tribute to Game of Thrones, featuring remixes of songs from Queen, Hamilton, and many more:

So is it funny or die? You be the judge.
