Westworld to have a new intro for season 2?

Game of Thrones is famous for its intro sequence, set to an iconic opening theme composed by Ramin Djawadi. A couple years back, Westworld also gained traction for its opening credits, which features a different tune by Djawadi. Check out the intro for the first season:

Also, both sequences are created by the same studio, Elastic. There’s a lot of crossover between these two shows.

Note that title. “Westworld Season 1 Opening Credits.” Until not long ago, it simply read “Westworld Opening Credits.” HBO slipped in the “Season 1.” Will the credits for season 2 be different? After all, the credits for Game of Thrones change depending on what locations we visit in any given episode. Next to Thrones, Westworld the most expensive, ambitious thing on HBO, so it may well follow suit.

Moving on, a new season 2 behind the scenes video has surfaced on YouTube channel TCAST. It features several cast members, as well as co-creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, discussing what fans can expect from the new episodes:

There aren’t many new shots here, but there is one new still of Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright) looking at his Delos control pad and noticing that Peter Abernathy (Louis Herthum) is on a train heading out of the park:

This seems like the logical next step for Peter, since the last time we saw him in season 1, Lee Sizemore (Simon Quarterman) was uploading 35 years worth of Delos code into his brain. Will he actually make it out of Westworld?

Next, actor Ben Barnes (Logan) briefly spoke with Variety during the Westworld season 2 Hollywood red carpet premiere and said viewers will feel “very differently” about his character by the end of the season.

It will be interesting to see how the show change things up in its sophomore outing. With season 2 currently sitting at 100% fresh at Rotten Tomatoes, color us excited.

Westworld season 2 kicks off on Sunday, April 22 at 8:00 p.m. CST.
