Season 8 filming: Pilou Asbæk (Euron Greyjoy) walks his cat in Belfast

Pilou Asbaek (Euron Greyjoy) recently posted an adorable picture of himself walking his cat and discussing the joys of parenting on his Instagram. Aw:

The only problem is that Asbaek is a Game of Thrones star, so everything he does on social media is closely scrutinized. And indeed, his post reveals that he is at the Europa Hotel, the same Belfast hotel where [SPOILER REMOVED] posted a picture of himself the other day. Belfast being the hub for filming on Game of Thrones, we can only conclude that Asbaek is in town to shoot material for season 8. As for why he’s walking a cat, he explains it pretty thoroughly in the post itself.

Of course, the notion of Asbaek in Belfast isn’t surprising — we all expect Euron to return, but we haven’t seen him as of yet, so it’s good to get confirmation. And if there was any doubt that he was at the Belfast Europa Hotel rather than another one, he posted another picture where he names Belfast specifically:

So Euron’s in season 8. Blare the horns. Will we see him walking the walls of that massive King’s Landing set?

Elsewhere, Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark) announces that he will be at the All Men Must Die convention in Paris on August 25 and 26.

Other guests include Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime), Alfie Allen (Theon), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Gemma Whelan (Yara), Joe Dempsie (Gendry), Iain Glen (Jorah) and Asbæk. That’s quite the lineup! Since the convention will take place after filming on season 8 has wrapped in June, it looks like the cast will have some free time.

Just need to check on flights to Paris real quick…
