Game of Thrones season 7 continues to rack up the award nominations. Deadline reports that it’s picked up three new ones for the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards. In addition to being nominated for Best Show, Game of Thrones cast members Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) and Maisie Williams (Arya) were singled out for their performances, earning nominations for Best Hero and Best Performance respectively. Nominations are decided by producers and executives at MTV, but the fans ultimately decide the winners.

Thrones faces stiff competition in the Best Show category. It’s up against Netflix’s Stranger Things and 13 Reasons Why, along with The CW’s Riverdale and Freeform’s grown-ish. Maisie Williams’ path to success is slightly easier. She’s up against Darren Criss (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story), Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why), Issa Rae (Insecure), and Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things, the latter of whom is probably her biggest competition.

In any case, Williams is pumped about the nod:

Meanwhile, here’s the field for the Best Hero category:

  • Chadwick Boseman (T’Challa/Black Panther): Black Panther
  • Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen): Game of Thrones
  • Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman): Wonder Woman
  • Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash): The Flash
  • Daisy Ridley (Rey): Star Wars: The Last Jedi

With so many high-powered names on there, Clarke has an uphill battle, but the Mother of Dragons has overcome difficult odds before.

The award ceremony, hosted by comedian Tiffany Haddish, will air June 18. It’ll be filmed at the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles. Fans can vote for who wins here.
