Check out splendid fan-made posters for Game of Thrones season 8
By Corey Smith
Game of Thrones fans are insatiable and creative; when HBO isn’t putting out content about the new season, they do it themselves. True to form, they’ve been busy mocking up posters for the final season of the show. Behold:
For those who may not know, A Time for Wolves was one of the original titles considered for the final book in the Song of Ice and Fire series. As of now, that title is A Dream of Spring. The poster is giving me X-Files vibes:
Next, a look into Cersei Lannister’s possible future:
Well, that would certainly make waves. Great Photoshop work here; I especially dig the glass of wine on the table. This is Cersei we’re talking about, so you’ve got to keep it realistic.
This one is interesting, although if it’s a showdown shouldn’t these two queen be facing one another? Maybe they’ve teamed up and are having a showdown with the army of the dead.
Speaking of the dead…
An undead Cersei sitting on the Iron Throne? That would be one hell of an ending.
This one had our skin tingling. Arya and Jon? Sam and Jon? Cersei and Tyrion? Be still our hearts.
"Noice from freefolk"
Okay, this is cool and everything, but are they implying that Jon dies and Dany takes up Longclaw? We’re not going to go there.
The Night King looms over all in this one — he’s here to be taken seriously.
And one more from the king of winter, walking over the skulls of his enemies. Does it make for difficult footing? Yes — he probably fell over right after this. But is it chilling? Also yes.
Kudos to everyone who made these!
