Take the Black Live: Everybody comes to the Dragonpit

Welcome to Take the Black Live, the show where we gather round talk through the latest bits of Game of Thrones, and we have quite a lot on our plate this week. Watch us above and join the discussion below!

This week’s topic’s include:

  • We praise the Game of Thrones fanbase for their resourcefulness in finding out where in the world Maisie Williams is.
  • But really, people were showing up in Seville faster than we could keep track of them. Who’s here to film scenes for season 8? Who’s here just to troll the audience? This is a potentially enormous scene, but it’s difficult to untangle the truth from the tricks.
  • Beyond this, what is everybody here to film? Are we looking at the cast for the series finale, and if we are, what does that say about the actors who aren’t there?
  • Emilia Clarke stuns at the Met Ball and teases in interviews.
  • Brian Helgeland is one of several screenwriters developing HBO’s upcoming crop of Game of Thrones prequels, and the only one who’s won an Oscar. The writers have been quiet on that front, but Helgeland has broken his silence.

We’ll return with more more Take the Black Live next Wednesday, May 16, at 4:00 p.m. CST on our Facebook page.

Next: Sights and sounds from the opening night of the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience in Madrid
