Westworld Season 2, Episode 5 live stream (“Akane no Mai”): Watch online

With “Akane no Mai,” Westworld season 2 reaches its halfway point. Last week, on “The Riddle of the Sphinx,” Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) and Elsie Hughes (Shannon Woodward) discovered that Delos had been trying unsuccessfully for decades to transfer a human being’s consciousness into a host’s body. Meanwhile, the Man in Black (Ed Harris) continued his quest to find the Door and ran into his daughter Grace (Katja Herbers) along the way.

Will these characters follow up on these moments in “Akane no Mai?” Will they even be in the episode? If the teaser is any indication, no:

HBO’s description for this episode is characteristically brief: “Welcome to Shogun World.” It looks like we’ll be spending most of our time with Maeve (Thandie Newton) and company, although there was one shot of Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Teddy (James Marsden) in HBO’s advance cache of images:

Other than that, it’s all Shogun World all the time:

Maeve seems to be fitting right in:

So too is Hector (Rodrigo Santoro):

Armistice (Ingrid Bolso Berdal) is having a harder time of it. It looks like she’s been taken prisoner, and Lee Sizemore (Simon Quarterman) is right behind her:

Here’s new character Musashi, played by Hiroyuki Sanada:

Another new character is Akane (Rinko Kikuchi), for whom the episode is named. “Akane no Mai” translates to “Akane’s Dance.”
