Ramin Djawadi plays the Game of Thrones theme on Nintendo Labo

Nintendo Labo is a…let’s call it a videogame…for the Nintendo Switch home console. Basically, Nintendo sells bunches of specialized pieces of cardboard designed to be folded and molded into a variety of devices, from a fishing rod to a remote-controlled car to a giant robot to a miniature piano, and some software to go along with them. Just recently, IGN had Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi stop by and fulfill what we suspect was the ultimate purpose of Nintendo Labo all along: to play the Game of Thrones theme on the cardboard piano. Take it away, Ramin:
Of course, Djawadi is doing this kind of thing to promote the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience, which is currently in the middle of its European leg. If you’re impressed by Djawadi picking out the Game of Thrones theme on a piece of cardboard, imagine how good it’ll sound played by a proper orchestra in a concert hall.
Impressions from the Concert Experience continue to seep in, with everyone looking to be having a grand old time. The producers incorporate some humor into the performance; just look at the message attendees get at the top of the show:
