Watch the trailer for Westworld season 2, episode 7, “Les Ecorches”

There are now four episodes left of Westworld’s second season, and if the ending to tonight’s episode, “Phase Space,” is any indication, we’re in for one hell of a ride.

The trailer for Episode 207, “Les Ecorches,” indicates that we’re going to pick up right where we left off tonight, with Dolores leading a band of hosts into the Mesa and Bernard reuniting with Ford (Anthony Hopkins)…in a way. Check it out:

It looks like this episode will go a long way toward solving some of the show’s biggest mysteries. For one thing, Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson) and the Delos security squad are going to find multiple Bernard host bodies…so, yeah; that cat’s out of the bag.

And Bernard himself is going to experience all manner of trippy stuff. And having a conversation with dead friend/business partner/creator may be the least of it. “Open your eyes.”

Speaking of that line, are there two different people saying it, or is it just an audio effect? And who’s standing in front of Bernard when he obeys? Who’s reflected in his iris in the shot above? Also, what of Maeve? What is she screaming about? That is a proper blood-curdling cry.

It may be time to don our tinfoil hats. It feels like it’s going to be that kind of episode.
