Westworld is gearing up for its season 2 penultimate episode, and there is so much we would love to see as we reach the last two episodes of the season. Check out our episode 9 wish list, and remember, SPOILERS AHEAD!

We all have wishes in life. It’s one of the things that make us exceptionally human. Westworld is a vast wishing well. We as fans care tremendously about the characters. My first wish is that Ake/Zahn McClarnon will have an awkward junior school slow dance with me.

After episode 8, I’ve been drawing hearts with our initials all over my Pee Chee folder. After viewing the amazing piece of art that is Westworld episode 8, there are things I’d like to see for episode 9. There are only 2 episodes left. Here’s what I wish for Westworld Episode 9 and beyond.

Unhobbled hosts are restored

No question, I’m  a fan of underdogs. My first wish is that the intellectually hobbled hosts somehow regain their full capabilities. They are a vital part of the host reckoning but I miss their engaging personalities. Right now, they are glazed donuts pawns in Wyatt’s game and not collaborators.

Seeing blank-faced, goth girl Clementine breaks my heart. Poor Clemmie! And seeing Ake’s wife hobbled in cold storage made everyone’s heart tear into a thousand pieces. There’s not enough tape or glue in the entire world to put the pieces back together again. I wish Maeve could somehow through her superpowers restore our beloved hosts to their best selves, or even better than their best selves.

I want Kohana to come back to life for Ake. I’m a sucker for a good love story. Watching cognitively shaky Bernard stresses me out! He is still fighting the good fight, but he is so weak. I hate seeing him like this. I wish Elsie could restore him. If anyone can do it, she will.

Felix heals Maeve

Friendships in the park are strong — especially the one between Maeve and our favorite Delos tech, Felix. She gets shot multiple times by the QA crew in the prairie town. She is bloody, can barely speak, and her throat is cut open in the lab. Her current tech is company loyal guy cares less about her. How dare he!

More from Westworld

Is everyone that works at Delos a dick? Is there no sensitivity training at Delos?! I want Felix to swoop into The Mesa like Superman (he doesn’t have to wear the blue spandex or red cape, although that would be dope) and fix all of Maeve’s physical injuries. Heck, it would be amazing to have Sylvester help too.

I want him to come aboard the Maeve train now. After she gets healed, I want them all to get the hell out of there and blow up The Mesa – the entire mother lode. The Cradle is destroyed and now it’s time to finish the job. Then I want Team Maeve to meet up with Hector and Armistice and continue their quest.

Charlotte is made to pay

It is my Christmas wish that Charlotte is held accountable for her atrocities against the hosts, guests, and Delos associates alike. She is an equal opportunity offender. There’s no one she won’t step on to keep up her power at Delos. But she always manages to slip away from any real danger.

She even avoids a buzz saw to the skull at the hands of Dolores/Wyatt. It would be nice to see her experience true fear, pain, and accountability. I want to see the more human and vulnerable part of her. I want to know her back story. Timelines be damned. What is HER cornerstone? Or am I wishing for too much with Miss Charlotte?

We get some of the old Dolores back

While the Wyatt part of Dolores is certainly interesting, I would love it if parts of sentient Dolores re-emerged. Remember, at her heart, she is a loving rancher’s daughter and a gifted artist. I also wish Dolores did something different with her hair. Wyatt is getting old to me. Don’t get me wrong; Evan Rachel Wood is kicking serious acting ass with this character arc.

I love the dimensions and layers that came back for a bit when she found her father and had to retrieve brain pod in the lab. It would be great to see her Wyatt narrative start to lose its power over her and unravel.

Maeve, Felix, Elsie, or Bernard, can you lend me a hand with this simple bit of re-programming?! Either that, or I wish Armistice to have a personal reckoning with Wyatt, so she can finally complete her snake tattoo.

Akes takes over

I want Ake to face Dolores/Wyatt. At first I thought Maeve and Dolores/Wyatt would have a duel to the death. While Ake can be violent due to old programming, we know he is heartfelt, sensible, and fighting for the greater good. He is not on a post-reckoning killing spree like Wyatt. He let the captured guests like the Man in Black’s daughter Emily and Delos security chief Stubbs go.

Ake has been looking out for Maeve and her daughter for years. He’s a good guy. I want to see good prevail. He’s clever and knows how to fight. I also want Ake to find out what is behind the door before Dolores or the Man in Black.

My wish for ‘The Door’ is that our minds are blown. How? I’m not sure. Is Theresa there? Is James Delos alive? Is it The Door to heaven? Is it God? It is a new car? Is it Jim Morrison? I want The Door to have us beyond excited for Westworld season 3.

Real Westworld action figures

Since Westworld season 1, I’ve been wishing for real action figures of the Westworld characters. Not the whimsical Funko ones. They’re cute and I have some, but I’m talking super detailed, realistic, and fully articulated action figures. The ones created for AMC’s The Walking Dead are brilliant.

I want Dolores’ action figure to have an artist easel and painting, little can of milk, a horse, and all the accessories. There could be a young Ford and old Ford. Action figure Armistice could have a detachable arm! There could be a James Delos Barbie dream house/apartment including the record player, stationary bike, cup of coffee, bottle of scotch, and closet of Dockers.

I also wish there was a Westworld series of graphic novels. I want it in the traditional style of comics with fully saturated primary colors and all hand-rendered type. A girl/graphic designer can dream, can’t she?

My biggest wish

The biggest wish is that we as fans won’t have to wait a year or more to see Westworld Season 3. Sure, other shows help pass the time. They are what Stevia is compared to organic honey. I want more of Ghost Nation in Season 3. Let’s see if my wishes come true in episode 9, ‘Vanishing Point.’

But seriously Zahn, the slow dance will be epic. You can pick the song but I’m partial to Crazy for You by Madonna, Wild Horses by the Rolling Stones or Fleetwood Mac’s Sarah. Let’s see what kind of tango happens with our favorite characters in Westworld episode 9.

Watch Westworld season 2 Sundays at 9 pm EST on HBO.
