Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) says a heartfelt goodbye to Game of Thrones

It’s time to accept it: Filming for the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones is drawing to a close.

Former and current actors on the show, along with the crew already had their big send off a couple of weeks ago, but a select few cast members were still filming scenes. Namely, Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) was spotted in Belfast, near Titanic Studios.

So Clarke was still filming scenes until recently, but based on a new Instagram post, it looks like she’s finally through. I’m not crying, you’re crying.

“Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade,” she writes. “It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing #💔#lastseasonitis.”

Jason Momoa, who played Dany’s husband Khal Drogo back in season 1, as well as John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), responded:

Then Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) heaped on the love.

The night before, Clarke posted a photo of herself with castmates Conleth Hill (Varys) and John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), as well as showrunner Dan Weiss, as the group attended a Liam Gallagher concert in Belfast.

Do you get the idea that two of the people in this photo are having more fun than the other two people?

This is in no way confirmation that Clarke is actually and officially finished with filming for season 8, but the signs are there. Grab the tissues, folks. The tears have only begun to flow.
