Watch the trailer for the Westworld season 2 finale: “The Passenger”

The penultimate episode of Westworld season 2 went out with a literal bang as Teddy (James Marsden) put a gun to his head and took his own life (for now, anyway — things get complicated when robots are involved), leaving Dolores to continue to the Valley Beyond by herself.

HBO has released the trailer for the final episode of the season, “The Passenger.” By the looks of things, it will not disappoint. Check it out:

As you can see, Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) is headed at full speed toward the Forge, or the Valley Beyond, or Glory, or the Door…place picked up a lotta different names over the past nine episodes. Maeve (Thandie Newton), looking far more mobile than she has been of late, shows up with her crew. It looks like she’ll use Dr. Ford’s (Anthony Hopkins) parting gift to her to turn the Delos Mesa HQ into Bulls on Parade.

Meanwhile, it looks like Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) has made it to the Forge alongside Bernard. The pair of them are once again taking a stroll through the town of Sweetwater, and Dolores sees herself walk by in “The Rancher’s Daughter” narrative. I wonder if she’ll see Teddy there as well? What awkward feelings with that inspire?

We also get a shot of James Delos (Peter Mullan) being tested for fidelity. Also, Logan Logan (Ben Barnes) escorts Dolores (who we know is in her current incarnation thanks to the bullet wound in her side) and Bernard through what looks like a normal house. My money is on a Logan host being the curator of the Forge. It also looks like we’ll get a flashback showing what became of Logan in life.

Westworld has been on a roll these past few weeks. Bring it on home!
