Fourth of July break—No Take the Black Live on July 4
By Dan Selcke
It’s the (day before) the Fourth of July — break out the fireworks, throw some burgers on the grill, and run through the yard with a handful of sparklers trailing behind you like so many combustable tails…tomorrow.
We hope you all have a lovely Fourth of July (and if you’re from somewhere other than the US, we hope you have a lovely Wednesday). We here at WiC will be taking the day off, barring something ridiculous happening, although we will have a couple things of interest scheduled to fill the void.
We also won’t be having a new episode of Take the Black Live, our weekly chat show covering the latest in Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire news. Generally, we stream those on our Facebook page every Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. CST. Same goes for A Song of Dan and Josh, where we analyze George R.R. Martin’s opus chapter by chapter.
But worry not: we’ll be back next Wednesday, July 11 at 4:00 CST. Next on tap for A Song of Dan and Josh are Daenerys VI and Catelyn VIII from A Game of Thrones, the first book in the series. Viserys is dead and Ned is imprisoned; things are bad…for people who aren’t Daenerys. How does Martin handle the curves during this crucial part of the story? Hope to see you there for the discussion!
Happy Fourth!
Next: Filming continues on the King's Landing set, wrap party or no wrap party
