Wyoming: Jorah Mormont
Jorah Mormont (AKA Ser Friend Zoned) is best known for his unwavering devotion to Daenerys Targaryen. We first meet him at her wedding to Khal Drogo. In the beginning of their relationship, Jorah was a spy for King Robert Baratheon, but soon fell for the Mother of Dragons and became her devoted servant. He follows the queen around the world, no matter the personal toll it takes on him. He even crosses the parched desert known as the Garden of Bones with her just to support her cause.
Wyoming can’t exactly be called the Garden of Bones (or even the Great Grass Sea), but parts of it have the stillness of the desert. In fact, it’s home to the famed Red Desert, an expansive sagebrush steppe in the south central portion of the state. Maybe Jorah would find himself as at home here as in his adopted homeland with Daenerys and her Dothraki.
The connections go deeper. The bear is the sigil of House Mormont, and Wyoming is home to plenty of bears.
The Equality State has a low-key personality, quiet and sparsely populated. This will suit the reserved Jorah just fine. He’s rarely brash, and does most of his best work under the radar.
