Westworld season 3 may be far, far away but the cast is helping us fill the void left in our hearts with their personal, candid and behind the scenes pictures and videos. Here are some gems from Jimmi Simpson!
As Westworld began wrapping up it’s second season the cast began releasing some of their personal pictures taken on the set. It’s always such a treat for fans to get a peek behind the curtain of what goes on behind the scenes. Especially for an intense show such as Westworld.
Speaking of intense, playing the role of William, has to take it’s toll on an actor both mentally and physically. With so much serious material covered in the show, it’s nice to see how Jimmi and his fellow co-stars break up the heavy load they carry. Just look at the grins in this photo showing Jimmi with co-star Ben Barnes, who plays Logan on the show.
After the season two finale, Jimmi shared a movie that was made by himself and his fellow cast mates, Evan Rachel Wood and Shannon Woodward. I thoroughly combed through Jimmi’s Instagram page but couldn’t seem to find the original post. So the post I’m adding is actually a re-post from our very own ‘Beyond Westworld‘ Instagram page.
On the heels of this featurette, Jimmi’s friend and actor Evan Rachel Wood released her version of the video. This farewell video was dedicated to all of us fans with the promise of seeing us again for season three. It really is a beautiful video!
Jimmi is also a photography enthusiast and has shared some really beautiful pictures from the locations they shot at for Westworld. Here we see Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) walking through a graveyard filled with crudely made wooden crosses. The contrast between the sky and the foreground is stunning.
I also really like this photo which features Clifton Collins Jr. who plays Lawrence/El Lazo. He seems quite content to be sitting on a horse. Again, the contrast catches my eye. Clifton’s partially in silhouette with the cloudy, dark blue sky behind him. It evokes a feeling of serenity in me.
This video is from 2017 and shows the third and final attempt Jimmi made at getting more adept with his gun slinging skills. According to his post, this was filmed somewhere on location in Utah. I like that you can see a helicopter flying far, far in the background.
This final photo isn’t one from behind the scenes of the show but one from Jimmi’s Twitter account. It shows Evan Rachel Wood and Ben Barnes, presumably in a Green Room, during the San Diego Comic-Con in 2017. I think it’s rather cute they were all in white? I wonder if that was planned?
I highly recommend fans of the show follow all the actors that appear in Westworld. They post so many great photos and videos which help you get to know them better and get a peek into their lives. You can see lots more from Jimmi by following him on Instagram and Twitter.
