1. Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp)

This summer featured one high-action blockbuster after another, with Ant-Man and the Wasp among the bets of them. It had plenty of cool effects, rich Marvel lore and the star power of Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly to light the way. Critics and audiences ate it up.

This film featured a new villain. Perhaps you, like me, saw the unstable and constantly phasing Ghost come on screen and kept wondering why she looked so familiar. Travel back in time with me to Game of Thrones season 6, when Daenerys spent some time with the Dosh Khaleen. Among the Dothraki widows is young Ornela, played by Hannah John-Kamen, or Ghost from Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Don’t feel too bad if you couldn’t place her. When John-Kamen appeared on Game of Thrones, her career was just starting to take off. While she’d already started on her popular Syfy series Killyjoys, she was by no means a household name. She’s sure to get more recognizable with time, especially now that she’s made appearances in TV shows and movies like Black MirrorReady Player One and Tomb Raider (although she may want that last one expunged from her resume).

John-Kamen is going places! Rumor has it that she could even appear as Ghost in the fourth Avengers, but we’ll always remember her role as a Khaleesi.
