Westworld: Rodrigo Santoro to star in Hulu’s Reprisal
By Ariba Bhuvad
Westworld’s resident gunslinger Rodrigo Santoro aka Hector just landed a series regular role on Hulu’s drama pilot Reprisal.
*CAUTION: Westworld spoilers ahead*
Rodrigo Santoro is taking his talents to Hulu for its next drama pilot and will be joining Timeless’ Abigail Spencer in a series regular role. Santoro is best known for his role as Hector Escaton on Westworld, and although *spoiler alert* he met his demise in the season 2 finale, it doesn’t exactly mean he won’t return for season 3, because, well, it’s Westworld.

Reprisal tells the story of a woman’s (Spencer) journey to exact revenge who is attacked and left for dead. However, after surviving the attack she begins a campaign against the gang who hurt her. Rodrigo Santoro will be playing the role of Joel Kelly, a member of this gang known as The Banished Brawlers and is on the path to taking over as its leader.
Due to the priorities Kelly has in his outside life, we will see his character struggle to maintain peace. Reprisal’s pilot comes from A&E Studios/Littlefield Company and is from StartUP writer Josh Corbin. Executive producing the pilot will be Warren Littlefield and Barry Jossen and directing the pilot is Trust’s Jonathan Van Tullekun.
We are pretty stoked to see Santoro in a different role than Hector, and the idea of him acting alongside Abigail Spencer sounds like a dream come true. Can you imagine the epicness that we will be treated to?
Rodrigo Santoro is repped by ICM Partners and Management 360, and by Troika in the U.K.
