Westworld walked away with 3 Creative Emmys over the weekend at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

Westworld had a good weekend at the Creative Emmys this past weekend, officially kicking off award season for the year ahead. HBO collectively walked away with 10 Creative Emmys between Westworld and Game of Thrones, with GOT winning a total of 7 and Westworld a total of 3.

The Creative Emmys usually take place a week ahead of the Primetime Emmys and recognize the behind-the-scenes talent that work to bring our favorite shows to life–including hair, makeup, production design, and costume designers.

Over the course of two days (Sept. 8 and 9), the Creative Emmys took place in Los Angeles, California at the Microsoft Theatre where all the winners were recognized for their work amongst their peers. It was the perfect way to kick off award season and get hyped up for next week’s Primetime Emmys.

So what categories did Westworld snag awards in? They are as follows:

  • Outstanding Hairstyling For A Single-Camera Series (“Akane No Mai”)
  • Outstanding Makeup For A Single-Camera Series (“Akane No Mai”)
  • Outstanding Creative Achievement In Interactive Media Within a Scripted Program (“Chaos Takes Control Interactive Experience”

A huge congratulations to all the crew that works diligently behind-the-scenes to create the complicated atmosphere of the series! Without you, fans would not be able to immerse themselves in this world and follow the journey of its characters.

Next week at the Primetime Emmys, Westworld is nominated for a number of awards including 2 for Lead Actor in a Drama Series, Lead Actress in a Drama Series, Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, and Outstanding Drama Series.

Be sure to tune in on Monday, September 17th to watch the Primetime Emmy Awards on NBC at 8 PM EST!
