To this day, Peter Dinklage is the only actor on Game of Thrones to win an Emmy Award for his work on the show. Not only, but he’s been nominated for his performance as Tyrion Lannister for every single season of the show. Tonight, the tradition continues, as Dinklage picked up his third Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama. Watch his acceptance speech below:

I’ll admit it: I was hoping that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau would take the award for his work as Jaime Lannister. He was terrific in season 7. But Dinklage went a ways toward cushioning the blow with his very sweet acceptance speech, where he called Coster-Waldau “my brother from another mother.”

"I love you, and I share this with you, because you are an amazing, handsome brother."

I also dug Colin Jost’s joke after Dinklage’s win. “I’m so happy he didn’t start his speech, then wait a year-and-a-half to finish it.”

HBO was lightening quick to congratulate its star:

Kudos to Dinklage!
