The EP of Westworld, Roberto Patino, has signed a multi-year overall deal with Warner Bros. TV to create new content.

Westworld  EP Roberto Patino is headed to Warner Bros. TV, according to a report released by DeadlineUnder this deal, Patino will create new content for premium cable and streaming outlets under Warner Bros.

Patino has been an executive producer on Westworld for season 1 and season 2 and as a result, been a part of the two series’ Primetime Emmy nominations for Best Drama Series. Along with Westworld, Patino has also worked on NBC’s Prime Suspect and two Kurt Sutter series’ Sons of Anarchy and The Bastard Executioner.

Currently, Patino is working on the first two installments of the Fear Street trilogy that is based on “Goosebumps” author, R.L. Stine’s series of novels. In 2014, his feature Cut Bank was released starring Michael Stuhlbarg, John Malkovich, Liam Hemsworth, and Billy Bob Thornton.

Patino graduated from Harvard University in 2006 and attended USC’s film production for a year before taking off a semester to work with David Ayer who was directing Street Kings at that time.

In season 2, Patino wrote “Journey Into Night”, “Virtù e Fortuna”, and, “Vanishing Point”. During an interview with HBO, Patino spoke about the season 2 penultimate episode:

"“The title comes from the art term in perspective drawings where the lines in the image converge on one point along the horizon. It’s fitting as all of our characters’ journeys are finally converging as we enter the final act of the season – everyone is headed to the Valley Beyond. That’s perhaps the broadest application of the title, but it can certainly be taken to mean a number of things, especially as it is applied to each character. A version of who our characters all are, who we as the audience know them to be — whether that is emotionally, psychologically and existentially, or if you are Ford, quite literally — vanishes by the end of the episode.”"
