How excited are you to see James Marsden star in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie?!
Yes, it’s fairly old news that James Marsden is set to star in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, but we are so excited to see what’s in store that we had to talk about it anyway. Recently, pictures were released of Marsden on set dressed up as the sheriff, and boy, does he look adorable!
The upcoming live-action/animation movie based on the iconic video game franchise will be made by Paramount Studios and has brought on Jeff Fowler (Gopher Broke) to direct. The director of Deadpool, Tim Miller, is set to be the executive producer alongside Toby Ascher.
For those of you that didn’t get to experience the 90’s, Sonic the Hedgehog was first released in 1991 and became a worldwide phenomenon as people fell in love with this speedy, bright blue creature. Within the game, Sonic had to face off with Doctor Robotnik–an evil scientist.
The movie is set to release on November 15, 2019, and will be the first time this video game character will be seen on the big screen. We are so excited to see James Marsden trade in his loyal Teddy persona from Westworld for a badass sheriff bringing justice to Sonic’s world.
The second season of Westworld was a tumultuous one for Teddy, and honestly, given the talent and perfection Marsden brings to this character, we can’t wait to see him be the big, bad sheriff for once. Be sure to also catch him on Netflix’s upcoming dark comedy, Dead To Me.
